How does Orion keep strategies private?

Orion is powered by Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to keep manager strategies confidential. Rebalancing instructions are computed directly on encrypted data, so the strategy logic is never exposed; not to Orion, not to investors, and not onchain.

What networks and protocols are supported?

Orion is EVM-compatible and asset-class agnostic. Custom adapters enable integrating different token standards. Currently supported protocols include Aave, Morpho, Uniswap, Yearn, and other leading DeFi protocols.

Who holds custody of the assets?

Investors retain full self-custody. Assets are held in smart-contracts that only the investor can withdraw from; Orion and vault managers never have direct access to your funds.

How is performance calculated?

Performance is tracked onchain in real time using a standardised NAV mechanism. Every rebalance, fee accrual, and return is recorded and verifiable by anyone, no off-chain reporting required.

Do I need to be a licensed fund manager to deploy a vault?

Managers are permissioned: you must go through onboarding to demonstrate past performance, but you do not necessarily need to be licensed. Deposits are permissionless by default, though a manager can choose to make their vault permissioned (e.g., restrict who can invest). Depending on your jurisdiction, offering investment products to the public may require regulatory compliance. We recommend reviewing applicable local regulations. We can also provide support and guidance across key areas such as custody solutions, KYC/AML procedures, investor onboarding, and broader compliance requirements.
